Setting Up Your AIR Purifier
PostFire distributed the Intellipure Compact (model 10600-9) to community members in affected areas.
Before you use it, you need to remove the plastic from the filter inside. Running it without doing this means no air moves through it.
Run it on low or medium speed for everyday use.
Turbo is recommended for short cleaning bursts only.
The unit is designed to run 24/7 - leave it on.
Do this before you plug it in
Make sure the unit is unplugged.
Open the front panel - press the side tabs on the lower panel, pull toward you, then lift up.
Pull out the pre-filter (the flat filter at the front).
Remove and discard the plastic wrap.
Slide the pre-filter back in.
Snap the front panel closed.
Plug in. Press the power button.
Keep running it. The fire is out, The air has not cleared.
Ash and burned materials are still being disturbed in fire-affected neighborhoods.
Scientists are still running tests to determine what burned and what people in this area were exposed to.
Those results are not in yet.
Until then:
Run your air purifier continuously.
Check the AQI in your neighborhood before going outside.
Even if the AQI shows green, ash can still be in the air.
If you see ash or smell smoke, take precautions regardless of the number.Wear a mask outdoors.
Filter maintenance
The Compact has two filters:
